Heart Cake

My youngest sister wanted to make this cake today with my mom. It's really easy and fun to make!

You will need a square pan and a circle pan

Make some cake batter and pour half in one pan

And the other half in the other pan

After they are cooled put the square cake on a big sheet pan
to make it look like a diamond shape.

Cut the circle cake in half

Then place halves on the sides of the diamond.

Make icing!
Note: it's one stick of butter, one box of powdered sugar, one tsp. of vanilla, and enough water to make a good consistency (about 2 tbsp.)

And decorate!

We used edible pink glitter to decorate, but you can use whatever you want!
Bible Verse:
Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 118:1 (ESV)

More How to Train Your Dragon Art!

Me and my sisters drew some How to Train Your Dragon drawings!

This one's mine
My younger sister drew Toothless

My youngest sister drew a Gronckle carrying a sheep

Speaking of How to Train Your Dragon art... this book is totally awesome! It's called The Art of How to Train Your Dragon 2 and it shows how they made the movie. I looked at it all day!

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

How to Train Your Dragon drawings

Hello!

So basically the main things I draw are the dragons and characters from How to Train Your Dragon. Here are most of my HTTYD drawings. They're in order from oldest to newest.

Did this one when the first trailer for HTTYD2 came out.

Me as a Viking

This one was a little doodle of Hiccup and Astrid

The bubble says "I still don't see it"

This one is supposed to be a seven-year-old Hiccup not really enjoying fishing

Doll Costumes

Hi everbody!

Lately I have been making costumes for my American Girls! I'm gonna try to make Kanani(my other American Girl) one, too. She's probably gonna be Toothless.

Mountains

Hi guys!

Today we went on a picnic in the mountains. Our picnic was inside the car... because it was raining, but it stopped and we were able to play in the creek. We found a crawdad and a salamander. This adorable little butterfly sat on my hand for a long time. Afterwards we went to McDonalds and got milkshakes!

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29

Monochromatic Color Schemes

This type of painting is really fun to try! You take one color and use different shades of it. I usually take one color and use white or black to make lighter or darker shades of it. With red and pink it's a little harder. I had to use brown to make the red darker. I've never tried pink, but I think if you use red instead of black then it will help.
Note: In the picture of the paintings of the American Girl dolls, it's three different canvases, I just lined them all up to take the picture.

Bible verse:
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Frozen Art Work

Hi Everyone!

Me and my sisters love the movie Frozen. One day we decided to draw some Frozen inspired art work. I don't know how many times we listened to Let it Go while painting and drawing, but I know it was ALOT!

Welcome to My Blog!

Hi!

This is my very first post! :)

On this blog I'll post about a lot of things, but I'll probably post about art a lot. I absolutely love drawing and painting!

Here's something I did in art class. I drew the bunnies with pencil and then used a pen to outline them and draw the swirls, stars, hearts, and other little shapes and designs inside them. It takes a long time, but it's really fun!

Bible verse:
